Rebecca - the most wonderful, loving woman in the world, with one of our very special dogs
In Memory Of OUR Family
Through the years, we've been unusually fortunate to own, train, and trial more than our share of superb dogs.
Though I've only printed Ahnentafels for some, many, many others have had a vital place
in our lives, our home, and in our hearts.
They were our family.
This page honors our family.

Where Did Our Family Go?
We began our life together in 1969, Rebecca and I. Our family began in Memphis, with a female Sheltie named Stax, who died in my arms of leptospirosis, just prior to three years of age. Before she died, she gave birth to Delta Lady and Tinker, who lived with us for over thirteen years. I buried Stax behind the veterinary clinic on Bellevue Boulevard, in Memphis.
Through the years, Rebecca and I grew closer, and we grew closer to our family. As time went on, we migrated from pet owners to owning a dog training business, and began to take our dogs more seriously. We imported, bred, and acquired dogs that had their own special magic, and these dogs became vital members of our family, as well as our working partners.
Many events of importance to us took place through the years. Sadly, the list below is incomplete. August is, by far, the most difficult month of the year. Interwoven throughout the years, death was always present. Our family is gone now. Only Tzar and I are left.

Barkasse der Hanswurst had no Ahnentafel. He came into our lives April of 1981, from a dog pound in southern California. His paperwork consisted of a receipt for $25.60, and a rabies tag. |
